Artist Statement
Here I am. Cord Moss. The Man, The Myth, The Compulsive Masterpiece. You Love Me, You Hate Me, You Love to Hate Me. As a person, heh, I don't think so. As an Artist...I don't know. But what the hell, Here I am, There I go.
Going through High school and my younger years, art has always been a class I have taken whether it was to avoid a different class like Home Ec, or because I needed an easy A. But I always found myself excelling and enjoying it immensley. I used to enter into art shows at the fair, but after seeing how old I was and producing the work I was at the time, the judges always gave me a participant. Until I was around 12 years old, I was receiving participants, then I started placing. So that fueled my passion for art and I decided to go to college for that very purpose.
Graphic design caught my eye first, but then after seeing for the first ten minues what it was about, i quickly changed my mind. That kind of obscured my vision of art and I changed majors completely and went into the vet program and then onto physics. After years of denial, I went back to art. Now I am back in the art program as a studio major and I am enjoying it so far.
